Morgan and Matt began Thread Theory Designs in 2012 as a menswear sewing pattern company that strives to provide sewers with inspiring designs, accurate patterns, and easy to follow instructions for their menswear sewing projects. Thread Theory patterns are your go to patterns when you are looking to create garments with a modern fit and an emphasis on quality construction details.
Enjoy the unrestricted comfort of a t-shirt and the put together elegance of a blouse. This blouse is designed to be COMFORTABLE and can be sewn in knits or stretch fabrics such as a cotton jersey knit and cotton spandex knit. It features shoulder and back yokes, elegant gathering, and a flattering curved v-shaped neckline placket. The gathers create a flattering shape that is loose enough to float over the body rather than cling to it. The delicately curved hem can be tucked into trousers and skirts or can be left loose to float over skinny jeans. The slim sleeves end just below the elbow to create the perfect multi-season blouse. Instructions detail how to create a variety of closures - learn how to add buttonholes to a knit placket, add snaps or create a pull over blouse and skip button holes entirely.

Heather Lewenza released her first pattern in 2013 to address the lack of beautiful swimsuit options available for the home sewist. The Bombshell was a great success, and as a result, Closet Case Patterns was born. You can expect a number of beautifully drafted Closet Case releases each year, all classic designs with a modern and fashion-forward edge, the necessary luxuries you didn't realize your wardrobe was missing.

Classic 5-pocket jeans are given a fresh look with the Ginger Jeans sewing pattern. With a modern and flattering cut, this is the daily staple you’ll reach for again and again. Engineered to be as flattering as possible, Ginger Jeans feature subtly shaped back pockets to highlight the curve of the bum, slimming side seams and a higher back rise to prevent peekabooty. With meticulously detailed and illustrated instructions, any level of sewist will be able to make jeans with confidence. View A features a comfortable low rise with narrow stovepipe legs. View B is sexy and high-waisted with skinny legs. Designed for stretch denim, Ginger Jeans will hug you in all the right places.
This pattern has all the style you need in a loose, flowy, comfortable shirt! It can be made with a woven or knit material, but works best with fabrics that have a soft drape. Sleeves are 3/4 with button tab, that can be worn year round. The longer curved hem is perfect to pair with leggings, skinny jeans, or your favorite work slacks. Where it loose, or belt it (belt included in tutorial) for a more fitted look. V neck and rounded collar give this shirt sophistication without adding anything too difficult for a beginner! Suggested fabrics are specialty wovens and light weight jersey rayon knits.
