We LOVE Halloween here at Girl Charlee Fabrics as it is the perfect time of year to show off creativity and sewing skills and with handmade costumes for the entire family!  This year there are a wide range of new and revamped pop culture icons, so we've compiled a list with a few popular costume ideas and paired them with fabrics and sewing patterns from the shop to help you put together your own handmade Halloween creations!

The 2017 Wonder Woman film set many new records and is expected to be an incredibly popular costume this year. Whether you want to dress as the newly updated Wonder Woman or the classic Wonder Woman, you'll want to start with a bodysuit like the Road Trip Bodysuit from George & Ginger. 

Belle from the updated Beauty and the Beast wears this elegant ballgown, but if you're looking for a more casual version to wear for Halloween, try sewing Pattern Emporium's Spellbound Dress or New Horizons Designs' Venice Dress.

There are many popular characters in the HBO series Game of Thrones, but if you want to dress as one of the lead women like Daenerys Targaryen or Cersei Lannister, sew up a beautiful maxi like the Gemma Maxi Dress from Named Clothing or the Diana Wrap Dress from Wardrobe By Me. As the new season launches right before Halloween, many people are sure to dress as the characters from the Netflix series Stranger Things.
