Tutorial Tuesday :: Baby Kimono with FREE Sewing Pattern from Sew in Love

After receiving many requests for baby sewing tutorials, I found this adorable Baby Kimono Tutorial with FREE Sewing Pattern from Australian blogger Rin of Sew in Love. Perfect for little ones, kimonos can be wrapped around baby and do not require being pulled over their head. This easy to make and easy to wear project would be an excellent baby shower gift for any expecting parents. Happy Sewing!

The attached ties will help your little one all bundled up and especially comfortable. To make these Rin used a cotton tape, but you could also use a ribbon from your stash or even make your own ties with self or coordinating fabric.

For a soft and comfy kimono, I suggest started your search with Cotton Jersey and Cotton Lycra Knits. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!

Happy Sewing!
