Girl Charlee Fabrics Knitty News :: Fall International Quilt Market Recap

If you attended Fall International Quilt Market in Houston recently we hope you enjoyed the show! BOLT by Girl Charlee official debuted our newest collection Homestead Life, with a very exciting response from the many attendees that came by the booth.  We are thrilled to add many new BOLT retailers, as well as look forward to seeing our collections distributed around Europe, Australia, and New Zealand soon!  Read on for some of the highlights of our Quilt Market experience.

After booth set up, a Schoolhouse presentation, and other meetings, Friday ends with Sample Spree, where Quilt Market attendees have the opportunity to shop samples of fabrics and notions at show special prices. This was the first time that attendees got to see Homestead Life, and it was a huge hit!

Heather Peterson, Rachel Julien, and Nicole Kent of The Girl Charlee Team were excited to be exhibiting at Market for the 1 Year Anniversary launch of BOLT!  We all love our Homestead Life knit dresses, skirts, and tops, all sewn up with ease on our Janome sewing machines

Homestead Life was the theme of our booth, with a recreated homestead cabin showcasing how much more can be sewn up with knits than just clothing!  We sewed up a complete crib set including blankets and a mobile, and adorable softies from My Funny Buddy.  Nicole crocheted a light up rug, Heather hand sewed espadrilles, and much more!  Our booth guests enjoyed being able to sit and rock while selecting their BOLT fabrics.

Showing the power of displaying paper patterns next to sewn garments we presented a full clothing rack and select paper patterns from some of our Indie pattern designers. A huge thank you to our wonderful pattern vendors for providing these in the BOLT booth - Jennuine Design, Liesl + Co. and Oliver + S., Sew Caroline, Thread Theory, and Victory Patterns.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth! It is always so wonderful to meet all of the amazing and talented people in the sewing and making community at Quilt Market every year. Photographed here is Stephanie of Modern Sewciety, Melissa Mora of Melly Sews, the Made for Mermaids team, Kate of See Kate Sew, Dana Willard of MADE Everyday, and Kerry Goulder of Kid Giddy.
We are thrilled to have met so many people and we look forward to seeing BOLT by Girl Charlee fabrics in more retailers worldwide. If you would like more information about becoming a BOLT retailer please contact BOLT sales and support at bolt@girlcharlee.com or call 877-475-2427 x 103.

Happy sewing!
