Tutorial Tuesday :: Basic Woven Tank Top from Domestic Bliss Squared

Now is the perfect time to sew up and wear your Specialty Woven Fabrics! These lightweight fabrics like crepe de chine, rayon challis, and peach skin, are perfect for summer styles because they are so airy and flowy. Jessica of Domestic Bliss Squared put together this Basic Woven Tank Top Sewing Tutorial that is very season appropriate.
For a professional looking hem, neckline, and arm holes, Jessica suggests using bias tape. If you've never used bias tape before, Professor Pincushion has a very helpful video tutorial on hemming with it. Bias tape is such a great solution for getting a flat hem on any curved edges, and it can either be purchased pre-made or you could even make your own!
Girl Charlee Specialty Woven Fabrics are perfect for this tank! They are so soft and lightweight, you'll want to wear them all summer long. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
