Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Cocoon Cardigan by True Bias

Cardigans and drapey sweaters are such a great way to dress up a tshirt and jeans or leggings AND add coziness and warmth!  With all the great Hacci Sweater knits that we now have in the store I was looking for a easy tutorial and found this amazing DIY Cocoon Cardigan tutorial from Kelli of True Bias.  You may know of Kelli from her amazing Hudson Pants pattern that we are just in love with here.  Her easy six-step tutorial is great for even beginner sewers to throw together!

This sweater is oversized, so there's no need to worry about tension on the seams when you sew the hem.  You can finish them up with a basic straight stitch.
You can use a Cotton Jersey, Hacci Sweater, or Ponte De Roma depending on the look you're going for.  Try one of these fabrics:

We hope you enjoy this tutorial and please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
