Girl Charlee Fabrics is excited to announce that Shwin Designs has added new sewing patterns to their collection!  Creator Shauna Wightman began designing with the belief that clothing should be fun and comfortable for everyone. She started with children's clothing, and has now added patterns for women. See her newest sewing patterns here and shop all of our independent sewing designers today!

I started designing when I was a little girl with doll clothes and then through high school with prom dresses. I try to offer pattern designs that are different from everything that's already out there. I design the patterns with my kids in mind and often with a lot of their input and help, it's just as important that they love their clothes as much as I do.

Shwin Designs Carol Tee Sewing Pattern                                                                         The Carol Tee is a twist on your average tee shirt. With flattering fit and drape, the tee has a front slit in the neckline that is lined for the perfect pop of color. The top features a back yoke and curved hem line. The pattern also includes an option for a regular neck so you can include more options in your wardrobe. It will quickly become your favorite tee with unlimited possibilities. Suggested fabrics are light to medium weight knits such as cotton jersey, cotton lycra, hacci sweater or ponte de roma. For the facings and back yoke try one of our specialty wovens or faux vegan leather.

Shwin Designs Day Tripper Top Sewing Pattern
The Day Tripper is loose, comfortable and relaxed for an easy to wear top with both long and short sleeve options. The pattern includes optional in seam pockets and optional shoulder epaulets. The dolman sleeve is designed to fit loose and flowing through the bust and a slimmer fit through the hip. Suggested fabrics are light to medium weight knits or wovens. For a more relaxed fit try a knit such as cotton jersey, cotton lycra, hacci sweater, french terry, sweatshirt or ponte de roma. For a more fitted top try a woven such as one of our specialty wovens. Use a rib knit for the waist, sleeve and neckbands.

Shwin Designs Beautiful Dreamer Cardigan Sewing Pattern

The Beautiful Dreamer Cardigan is an open front cardigan with soft drape, gathered shoulder, and back yoke detail. Designed to softly drape and frame the body. Comfort and style all in one. This pattern comes with sizes XXS through XL. This is a confident beginner/intermediate level sewing pattern. Suggested fabrics are light to medium weight knits such as cotton jersey, cotton lycra, hacci sweater or ponte de roma. For the back yoke try one of our specialty wovens or faux vegan leather.
