November Customer Spotlight :: Mandy Burns of The Knot Project

Our November Customer Spotlight is the lovely Mandy Burns of The Knot Project.  Mandy started her business as a creative outlet, and soon decided to make it a way to give back to her community. She began with headbands, bows, and bibs, and she has steadily grown to include scarves, dresses, and beanies.  Mandy's business is still new (only 8 months old),  and we are excited to see where it takes her!
About Mandy ::

My name is Mandy and I'm a stay at home momma to two little beauties. I'm a complete crafting junkie and a self taught seamstress. Last year I was in school for nursing. Not wanting to give up my life at home with my girls, I was on the fence about it. When my classes for an entire semester were canceled out of the blue, two days before class was to start, I took it as a sure sign to pursue my true love, creating things. So I taught my self to sew, and started with jersey knit knotted headbands for my girls. Then I started throwing them out there on Etsy. For every one I sold, I donated one to a little girl battling cancer. That's were The Knot Project began.
Since then, I have expanded into toddler Maxi dresses, leggings, scarfs, and beanies. It is my goal as a shop to be wildly generous. The Knot Project participates in many charity auctions and holds multiple giveaways each month. As a small business that is under 8 months old, I am excited to see where this takes me. Girl Charlee has allowed me to make beautiful things with their adorable trendy fabrics. I am a lifelong customer and am so thankful for what this little business is doing for my family. Go check us out on Etsy and on Instagram for the latest items and giveaways! @the_knot_project
