
Did you know the kimono has become this seasons hottest trend!? Kimono's are a perfect way to dress up a basic tee with jeans or shorts, extremely fashionable, and so easy to make. One of my favorite kimono tutorials is this one from Leanne Barlow of Elle Apparel. I love the high-low back and the separate sleeves as it adds a very professional touch. A few of my picks from the store:

Very similar to a kimono, this kaftan tutorial from Esther of From the Sticks is a loose, drapey version. Good tip: when using any woven fabrics that tend to fray, Esther suggests very carefully burning edges with a lighter. A few of my picks from the store:

For those of you who follow us on Facebook, this one might look familiar! Merrick White of Merrick's Art posted this sewing tutorial using our fabric on Babble about making your own kimono in just 30 minutes. As she says, "a couple of cuts, a few seams, and you’re done."
