Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Nursing Cover Tutorial by ToddAh

Just last week we welcomed our first Girl Charlee staff baby, a very healthy Finnian born to our incredible Customer Service Manager Renae. To celebrate this wonderful news we found this super easy nursing cover tutorial from Tabitha of ToddAh.   Tabitha is currently expecting her own baby so congratulations to Tabitha!
One of the best parts about this tutorial is how few supplies you need to make this nursing cover. It requires just 1 yard of knit fabric, a sewing machine, and the most basic of sewing supplies.
When sewing the sides, it's important to only sew the section that you pinned down. The hole that remains will be the neck hole, so take care as you do not want to sew that together.
It's so fast and easy to make that you'll be able to make several of them in no time!
For your nursing cover, you'll need something soft and stretchy, like Cotton Spandex or Cotton Jersey. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial and please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
