Most of our designs feature simple lines with a surprising detail – a unique way of arranging the pieces, an unexpected cutout or a fun construction detail. Many of our patterns are designed for knits for maximum comfort and wearability.
Selvage Designs Children's Top Pattern Blocks Sewing Pattern ::
Want to design your own children’s knitwear, but don’t want to waste time drafting blocks or tracing existing garments? These knitwear top pattern blocks will have you well on your way! These unisex pattern blocks come in children’s sizes 2-7 and include a bodice front, back and long sleeve. The bodice pieces are marked at the waist, hip, crotch and knee for maximum design versatility. Design a little boy’s t-shirt or a girl’s dress…a unisex tank top or a gathered tunic…all from one simple block! The pattern blocks do NOT include seam allowance or sewing instructions and assume that you, the sewist or designer, have basic design/sewing skills to modify the blocks as desired and assemble the final garment. The blocks are based on current (2013) ASTM measurements and have zero ease for a close, modern fit. You can add or subtract ease as desired to achieve your design vision.

Selvage Designs Soleil Dress Sewing Pattern ::
SOLEIL is a sun-loving, sleeveless, knit dress with contrast ribbing (or stretch knit) around the neck, armholes, back opening and pockets. It features a fun cutout on the back, exposed pockets on the front and a gathered (but not too gathered) skirt. A closed-back option is also included for more school/church-appropriate wear. Pattern size range is 12 months through 12 years. Recommended fabrics are any knits with 4-way stretch such as cotton jersey, cotton lycra or rayon spandex.
