Girl Charlee's Customer Spotlight for November is Beth Franssen of Swoopwear, an online store specializing in infinity scarves. I love Beth's story in starting in a creative focus at school and then taking the crazy twists and turns through corporate jobs to find her way back to what really makes her happy. I think we all can agree when sitting at our sewing machines, making sales, and seeing your finished goods on happy faces that there is nothing better than doing what you love. This November I am very thankful for being able to do just that for myself and my family!
About Beth
I have always loved all things visual, art, and being a designer in the sense of solving creative problems. My career after graduating lead to positions in marketing, technology and project management that spanned whirl-wind international travel and four moves across country from New York to California. Each change in career, economy or residence carried me an iteration away from my inner design self and the call to return art and design became stronger. There is nothing like sunny Southern California and the creative energy of the coast to motivate and inspire!
After years of compliments on the infinity scarves I made for myself and wore almost daily, the idea for Swoopwear was born! Swoopwear is simple, elegant and collectable like a pashmina wrap, but infinitely more fun. A simple comfy scarf in a unique print can make any everyday outfit stand out. Best part of all is constantly being inspired by all the amazing fabric choices!
