I am still maxi skirt obsessed, are you? With fall temps a'coming it is time to dust off my collection of barley worn BOOTS (Southern California temps + working in a warehouse = rarely worn) and find some easy skirt styles to whip up for a wardrobe refresh. This Stripe Play Maxi Skirt tutorial from Jamie Christina of Pretty Ditty blog, and Jamie Christina Sewing Patterns, caught my eye for a great maxi remake. The use of stripes is flattering and inventive and gives a whole new fresh take on the maxi. With a super easy pattern and instructions to follow you will be wearing your new wardrobe addition in no time!

Jamie recommends her Mission Maxi for a pattern to adapt if you don't have a skirt you can lay out to copy. I have sewn up her Mission Maxi and it is awesome. Generally 2-3 yards of fabric is required for a maxi. A few of my picks from the store, stripes and patterns:
