Tutorial Tuesday :: Stripe Play Maxi Skirt by Pretty Ditty

I am still maxi skirt obsessed, are you? With fall temps a'coming it is time to dust off my collection of barley worn BOOTS (Southern California temps + working in a warehouse = rarely worn) and find some easy skirt styles to whip up for a wardrobe refresh.  This Stripe Play Maxi Skirt tutorial from Jamie Christina of Pretty Ditty blog, and Jamie Christina Sewing Patterns, caught my eye for a great maxi remake.  The use of stripes is flattering and inventive and gives a whole new fresh take on the maxi.  With a super easy pattern and instructions to follow you will be wearing your new wardrobe addition in no time!

Easy to follow pattern and instructions:

Jamie recommends her Mission Maxi for a pattern to adapt if you don't have a skirt you can lay out to copy.  I have sewn up her Mission Maxi and it is awesome.  Generally 2-3 yards of fabric is required for a maxi.  A few of my picks from the store, stripes and patterns:

We hope you enjoy sewing up this lovely maxi.  Don't forget to send images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
