Depending on the type of elastic that you want to use, Melissa demonstrates three different sewing techniques for finishing your neck and leg bands.

To sew your own underwear you'll need a stretch knit fabric with good recovery like Cotton Jersey, Cotton Lycra, and Lycra Spandex.
