(Especially Creative Broad) written for Sew Mama Sew blog. Included are step-by-step instructions and images to learn how to design the perfectly fitting swing shirt or dress for your body! Click here for the entire tutorial and happy sewing!

When creating her pattern, Erin utilizes a few drafting curves to help make precise curves. These are not essential, but they create the perfect curves and angles with ease.

Most light to mid weight stretch knit fabrics including Cotton Jersey and Cotton Lycra will be perfect for your new top! A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images* of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!
