Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Convertible Bodysuit from A Pair & A Spare

Summer is fast approaching and when I stumbled upon this versatile DIY Convertible Bodysuit Tutorial from Geneva of A Pair & A Spare, I knew it was perfect for the warmer months ahead! In addition to written instruction and step-by-step images, this incredibly easy tutorial includes a simple to follow video so you can use whichever fits your learning preferences. Happy Sewing!

To create her bodysuit, Geneva uses a pair of high waisted underwear. If you prefer sewing your own, here are 3 of my favorite high waisted panty patterns from indie lingerie sewing pattern designer Ohhh Lulu ::

As an added bonus, this one simple sew can be styled in many different ways for a unique look every time! In her video tutorial, Geneva demonstrates a few of her favorite wrapping techniques to create these three one-of-a-kind looks.

To recreate this bodysuit you will need a stretchy knit fabric like Cotton Lycra and Lycra Spandex. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!

Happy Sewing!
