Tutorial Tuesday :: Slouchy Hat Tutorial + FREE Pattern from Patterns for Pirates

Not sure what to do with your smaller fabric pieces? This week's Tutorial Tuesday utilizes just under a half yard of fabric and is the perfect project for you and your entire family! This Slouchy Hat Tutorial with FREE Sewing Pattern from Judy Hale of Patterns for Pirates is incredibly easy to make and can be sewn in just about any knit fabric, so pull out those remnants or shop precut half yards and start sewing! Don't forget to mix and match different knits for your cuff and main piece in coordinating knits for a unique look every time. Enjoy!

The included pattern has four size options available, from toddler to adult, so this slouchy hat sewing pattern will work for the whole family! This is also the perfect gift for friends and loved ones of all ages.

Any knit with good drape like cotton jersey, cotton lycra, and hacci sweater will work perfectly for your slouchy hat! I suggest starting your search in our Precut Half Yards, as you will only need about a half yard of fabric. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!

Happy Sewing!
