Tutorial Tuesday :: No Sew Sweater Wrap from A Beautiful Mess

Winter is here and as the weather gets colder and colder, all I want to do is wrap myself in a blanket. Thankfully, this No Sew Sweater Wrap Tutorial from Emma Chapman of A Beautiful Mess lets me do just that. The best part about this project? Because knits do not fray, you needn't worry about finishing the edges. You will be able to make one of these for everyone on your holiday shopping list, just in time! Enjoy!

This wrap can be styled in many ways, but I love how it looks belted at the waist. To do this, Emma cut two holes for the belt to cinch in the front, but not in the back. Instead, the exposed fabric drapes beautifully on the back.

To make a similar style wrap for the cooler weather, I suggest starting your fabric search with ponte de roma, liverpool, and brushed poly spandex knits. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!

Happy Sewing!
