Tutorial Tuesday :: Striped Dress Tutorial from Dandelion Drift

Transitioning from summer to fall is a breeze with this Striped Dress Tutorial from Teresa of Dandelion Drift. On warmer days, you can wear it as is, and when it starts to cool down, you can layer it under a fun colored cardigan or trusty jean jacket. This dress has a great classic feel in stripes but will also look wonderful in solids and fun prints! Enjoy!

The construction of this dress is so easy and is perfectly fit to your figure. Teresa shows you how to turn your favorite fitted tank top into a sewing pattern that is designed for you! She also includes several tips and tricks, including how to easily match your stripes.

This dress works well in many different knit fabric types, but for a perfect summer to fall transition a cotton lycra or cotton jersey knit will be best! A few of my picks from the store:

We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy Sewing!
