Tutorial Tuesday :: Circle Skirt from The Littlest Studio

One of my go-to basic wardrobe essentials are easy to sew and easy to wear knit circle skirts. Perfect for all seasons, this Circle Skirt Tutorial by Melanie of The Littlest Studio provides you with an awesome FREE printable template to help you make the perfect fitting circle skirt. Get ready because after you make your first one, you will want to make them in all different solids and prints! Happy Sewing!

One of my favorite parts about sewing with knits is that they do not fray like woven fabrics. If you're in a rush, you could leave your hem as is! For a more professional look, Melanie suggests adding a simple zigzag stitch around the raw edges and then stitching a 1/4" hem.

Most stretch knit fabrics would work great for this circle skirt, like ponte de roma or cotton spandex knits. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy Sewing!
