Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Contrast Bib Dress from iCandy Handmade

One way to add some fun prints and pops of color to your little one's Spring wardrobe is by color blocking. For this weeks Tutorial Tuesday, we have this DIY Contrast Bib Dress tutorial from Jen of iCandy Handmade that features a unique color blocked bodice. With a FREE Sewing Pattern included, you are sure to want to make these dresses again and again! Happy Sewing!

When attaching the bodice pieces, Jen suggests heading over to Crafterhours Blog for a thorough and descriptive tutorial on All-In-One Facing Tutorial. Also, be sure to match up the seams for your side panels and bodice pieces when pinning.

Cotton jersey and cotton spandex knits would be perfect for recreating this dress, as they are light to mid-weight and drape very nicely. This is a great opportunity to mix and match different prints and solids. A few of my picks from the store:

We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy Sewing!
