Tutorial Tuesday :: Breezy Tee Tunic with FREE Sewing Pattern from It's Always Autumn

Tunics are a go-to wardrobe essential that I find myself reaching for again and again, as they can be styled in many different ways. You can dress tunics up with black pants and heels or go more casual with leggings or jeans and sneakers. Autumn Baldwin of It's Always Autumn takes you step by step in making this super easy Breezy Tee Tunic Tutorial, and as an added bonus she's included a FREE Sewing Pattern. Happy Sewing!

Having a nicely finished neckline is a sure way to make your handmade items look professional, and Autumn finishes her tunic with bias tape made from self fabric scraps. Don't forget to try your shirt on before binding the neckline to make sure that it fits over your head comfortably.

Autumn sewed up her tunic in a lightweight peach skin fabric, but you could use any of our Specialty Woven Fabrics for a similar look and feel.  Right now it is the perfect time to shop wovens as many of them are currently on sale at GirlCharlee.com. A few of my picks from the store:

Blue Yellow Scallops Cotton Lawn Fabric
Taupe Ethnic on Black Wool Dobby Hi Multi Chiffon Fabric Vintage Orange Blue Paisley Cotton Lawn Fabric
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy Sewing!
