Tutorial Tuesday :: Criss Cross Strap Sundress from Sewbon

Now that we're officially in Spring, it is the perfect time to start sewing up our warm weather wardrobes! When looking for a new knit dress tutorial I stumbled across this Criss Cross Strap Sundress from Erin of Sewbon that features a trendy geometric back. This simple to make dress is both comfortable and stylish to wear...what's not to love? I can hardly wait to add a few of these to my closet. Enjoy!

To create the fun criss cross look on the back, you will need a small amount of FOE (fold over elastic). If you've never worked with FOE, this is a great project to try it out, as Erin walks you through every step of the way.

Suggested fabrics for this sundress are light to mid weight knits like cotton jersey and cotton lycra. A few of my picks from the store:
Black and White Stripe Cotton Jersey Blend Knit Fabric Blue Peach Tie Dye Ethnic Cotton Spandex Blend Knit Fabric
Blue Coral Ikat Cotton Spandex Blend Knit Fabric Coral Ombre Panel Cotton Spandex Knit Fabric Pink Periwinkle Small Floral Garden Cotton Spandex Blend Knit Fabric
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy Sewing!
