Our December Customer Spotlight is about Sarah Brummel of
Three4 Designs. Sarah designs and sews nursing scarves that are both stylish to wear as a trendy accessory, while also providing perfect coverage for mom and baby when nursing. Over the next year, she plans to introduce many new products to her shop and we can hardly wait to see what she creates! Here is more about Sarah and her company.
About Sarah::
Hi! My name is Sarah, and I design/sew/create/own a little Etsy shop called “three4 designs.” I love to cook, craft and create when I’m not doing school work… oh, I’m also a grad student! I stay busy with work, school, crafting, friends and, of course, my family.
I started three4 designs back in 2013 after I came up with an idea for a baby shower gift for a close friend of mine. Infinity scarves were just starting to become popular, and I got to thinking about how simple it would be to nurse when you were practically already wearing your nursing cover. After I gave my first nursing scarf to a friend I got quite a few requests for others and everything seemed to fall right into place. With some design help from my super talented husband, I got my shop up and running.
I started my shop buying small amounts of knits, but I struggled to find cute patterns that were affordable. When I stumbled upon Girl Charlee, it was love at first purchase! I LOVE the variety, and quality of cute knits that are available and they are perfect for nursing covers because they keep mom covered but are still super breathable so that both mom & baby stay comfortable while nursing. They are also flexible and wrap right back up as a scarf when done. Perfect!
I’ve had quite a few other things in the works for my little shop (nursing tank tops and coordinating bibs and leggings for baby) but with school keeping me busy I haven’t been able to streamline them for production as of yet. However, I am consistent with my sewing breaks – they help keep me sane. My plan is to get them up and online by spring of 2016.
