Tutorial Tuesday :: Bias Trimmed Knit Cardigan by Noodlehead

For this weeks Tutorial Tuesday, we have this super simple and adorable Bias Trimmed Knit Cardigan Tutorial from Anna Graham of Noodlehead. This cardigan is the perfect garment for your little one right now as we start to transition into cooler weather, since it's a great way to layer. As an added bonus, Anna even includes her FREE Sewing Pattern in sizes 2/3T and 5T!

The base of the cardigan resembles a simple raglan tee and the instructions are very easy to follow. When attaching the double fold bias tape to the neckline, be sure to sew all the way to the ends of the tape. Tie a knot on each end and that will make for a cute tie closer.

Most knit fabrics would be perfect for sewing this cardigan. If you want your cardigan for warmer weather, be sure to use a lighter weight knit like a Cotton Jersey, but if you're looking for something for cool weather, you can sew it in a heavier weight knit such as Ponte De Roma. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
