Tutorial Tuesday :: PJ Pants by MADE

I love sewing pajamas because you can experiment with different fabrics and prints, and this week's Tutorial Tuesday features this adorable PJ Pants Sewing Tutorial from Dana Willard of MADE. These pants are another installment to Dana's Kid Pants Series with just a few simple modifications. Depending on the size you're making, you can use her FREE Sewing Pattern in a size 2T-3T or her tutorial on how to draft your own patten.

For her pajama pants, Dana adds a faux tie to the front. If you wanted to add a real elastic waistband, you absolutely could, but Dana shows you this simpler way of making a faux tie. Since we're using knit fabrics, they should fit very comfortably.

Any soft knit fabric (i.e. cotton thermal, sweatshirt fleece, cotton jersey) would make for great pajama pants! A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
