Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Children's Kimono from The Merrythought

Kimono's are all the rage this season and although there are many resources for women's kimonos, we are frequently asked about matching kimono patterns and tutorials for the little ones. Just recently I stumbled across this excellent DIY Children's Kimono from Caitlin of The Merrythought, and it is such a fast sew that you are sure to love it!

Tutorial instructions are laid out with clear illustrations and written descriptions for every step to create your own kimono! The measurements provided are for a 3T, but they can be easily adjusted to fit your little one.

Any light weight knit or woven fabric will be perfect to sew up a kimono! A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
