Tutorial Tuesday :: Granny Chic Kensington Dress from Crafterhours

Girl Charlee New Arrivals are full of gorgeous floral knits, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to share this adorable Granny Chic Kensington Sewing Tutorial from Adrianna of Crafterhours. With just a couple yards of fabric and the Kensington Sewing Pattern, your little one will be rocking her Granny Chic style in no time! Enjoy!
To make this dress you'll need the trendy and very comfortable Hey June Kensington Dress and Tee Sewing Pattern. This pattern and many more can be found in the Girl Charlee Pattern Shop!
Only a few minor changes were made to the Kensington to create this new version. On the bodice, only two changes were made- the addition of a peter pan collar and a button and loop closure to the back. For the skirt, Adrianna included detailed instructions on how to add a full circle skirt to any knit dress. Your little one is sure to love it!
Most stretch knits, like Cotton JerseyCotton Lycra, or Ponte de Roma fabrics, will make for a great Kensington Dress. A few of my picks from the store:
For your peter pan collar addition, shop Girl Charlee Vegan Leather Fabrics:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
