Tutorial Tuesday :: Striped Spring Tee Tutorials

Spring is here and Girl Charlee Fabrics New Arrivals has you covered for the perfect light weight, brightly colored striped cotton knits. These multi-stripes add that fun pop of color to your warmer weather wardrobe. On my hunt for a loose Spring tee to sew up, I found two great options to share with you.

The first is this super easy Slouchy Boxy Tee Tutorial by Naomi of Sweet Lemonayde. Naomi shows you how to turn an old t-shirt and a yard of fabric into the perfect slouchy tee. This tutorial is very beginner friendly and she even links to several outside sources demonstrating how to finish your neckband smoothly. This looks like a top that I would want to wear all the time- out to lunch, running errands, picking the kids up from school, etc.

If you want to add a fun accent to your tee, check out this Contrast Shoulder Slouch Tee Tutorial from Jen of iCandy Handmade. The best part about this tutorial? Jen included this FREE Sewing Pattern for her tee! This figure flattering women's tee is a must-have for your spring wardrobe, and now it's easier than ever to make. One great tip that Jen offers her readers is to use a double needle to hem your knit top for that professional finish.

We hope you enjoy this tutorial!  We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
