Girl Charlee Fabrics Knitty News :: Swimsuit Tips and Tricks from Pattern Revolution

Sewing a swimsuit for yourself is not as complicated as you think!  With the right tools and fabrics, you can create incredible swimwear in no time using sewing patterns that you have on hand.  We partnered up with Becca Duval of Pattern Revolution who created a very helpful guide to sewing a swimsuit. As Becca set out to sew up her very first swimsuit, she wanted to provide readers with the tips and tricks that she learned from the experience. The results clearly paid off! Looks great Becca!
Becca mixed and matched patterns for her two-piece swimsuit from on hand patterns and some printed nylon spandex and lining fabrics from Girl Charlee. By combining the Named Clothing Virna Mini Top Sewing Pattern and the high-waisted option of the Jocole Ladies Basic Brief Bottoms Sewing Pattern, she was able to create her perfect swimsuit.
Girl Charlee has a great selection of printed nylon spandex, solid nylon spandex, and lining fabrics available. A few of my picks from the store:
Happy sewing!
