In hunting around for more additions to my ever growing collection of tutorials for knits I found a new feature from the amazing Dana Willard of MADE that is a video series called MADE Everyday with Dana. Guess what her second video is about? How to Sew a T-Shirt!! Dana has a great personality and teaching style in the video, which combined with the bright and airy sewing studio, make this a real treat to follow along and watch. Dana has some great tips on using a thrifted t-shirt instead of fabric and also shows you how to make a pattern on the fly.
Pretty much most knits in cotton jersey, cotton jersey blend, cotton spandex will work for a t-shirt! A few of my picks from the store:
