Welcome back to Tutorial Tuesday! We get a lot of requests for easy baby leggings patterns and tutorials. Leggings are just perfect to sew up from a wide assortment of knits, are great for kids of all ages, and are sometimes surprisingly hard to find for a decent price when you consider how cheap they are to make! I found this Little Leggings Tutorial from Tabitha Todd of the blog and store Toddah that is easy to follow and also includes a download pattern sized up for 12M. Enjoy!
So easy to sew up a bunch at a time:
You can use a half yard of a knit fabric, any knit fabric really as long as it has some stretch. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy sewing up these leggings and please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!
Happy sewing!

I made a pair of these just a few days ago using this tutorial! Super easy! I do recommend considering going down a size....I made the 12 month size, which is what my daughter typically wears, and I had to shorten and take them in a fair amount to make them fit tight like leggings and not just a pair of knit pants.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn! Thank you for the heads up on the sizing of the pattern :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the feature! We'll be updating the pattern one of these days to accommodate the fit a bit more and add an 18 month size:)
