October Customer Spotlight :: Abbie Whynot of Maisie Jayne

Girl Charlee's Customer Spotlight for October is Abbie Whynot of Maisie Jayne, an Etsy store that has taken the harem pant and cleverly crafted it into a sweet romper style for infants and babies along with matching knot headbands.  I like Abbie's story of not going back to a technical job after having a child as that is exactly what happened to me after having my girl Charlee in 2004.  Finding the inspiration and courage to pursue a career in crafting and creating from having a baby seems to happen to a lot of us which is just amazing!!  Craft on ladies and don't ever be afraid of following your dreams as you never know what will happen.

About Abbie
My name is Abbie and I am a software engineer gone back to my crafty roots after having my daughter Maisie Jayne in Oct '12.  Sewing since my mom gifted me her sewing machine at the age of 15, I've always had a side project in the works.  Upon Maisie's arrival, I realized that I didn't want to go back to work, I wanted to be able to stay home with her.  She has been my inspiration to finally turn something I love to do recreationally into something that can help support my family and let me express and share my need to create.

I specialize in Harem Pants and Harem Rompers for babies and toddlers and Headbands for all ages. The affordability and variety of Girl Charlee fabrics have allowed me to offer my goods in so many different fabric choices. I have a bit of an addition to Girl Charlee fabrics and love when new arrivals come in!

My personal favorite using the Feathers on Silvery Peony

Lots of fun color combination and options in Abbie's Etsy Store shopmaisiejayne:
