Tutorial Tuesday :: Racer Bank Tank by NoodleHead

With the kids heading back to school I am gearing up for getting back to my usual routine which actually included going to the gym, although it seems like a distant memory!!  I was looking at purchasing some new workout tank tops but then it hit me...I WILL MAKE THEM MYSELF.  In searching around I found this cute and easy Racer Back Tank from one our my favorite blogs Noodlehead.  With nice pictures and descriptions to follow this is a quick sew up and best of all no serger required!  I have a bunch of my favorite, now quite beat up, tanks that I can use for my pattern and not having to buy any new ones will save me some money.  A win win!

Love this detailing:

You will need only 1 yard of a knit fabric with a good stretch.  I suggest using a rayon spandex jersey solid as they are light and drapey and used for activewear.  A few of my picks from the store:

Don't forget to send images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog(at)girlcharlee(dot)com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
