Tutorial Tuesday :: NO SEW Maternity Tunic from A Beautiful Mess

It's Tuesday and time to share another knit fabric tutorial!  While *fondly* remembering I spent two long Texas summers pregnant, I was on the hunt for a super easy maternity tutorial that is flattering and can also be used for after baby comes.  Wow, lots out there to choose from these days which is just great!  I settled on this DIY:  Make A Tunic from Elsie & Emma's A Beautiful Mess Blog as it has a lot going for it.  NO SEW, super flattering, and can be complete in 10 minutes.  As a bonus with the minimals cuts you make to the two yards of fabric you can definitely repurpose the fabric for after baby comes.

The key to this tunic is the fabric choice.  You need 2 yards of a light weight jersey knit with a good drape to avoid a bunch of bulk.  Some of our picks from the store:

Don't forget to send images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog(at)girlcharlee(dot)com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
