Tutorial Tuesday :: How To Sew A Knit Pencil Skirt In 20 Minutes by MADE Everyday

Pencil skirts are a must have in every woman's wardrobe as they are perfect to wear to almost any occasion! Depending on the choice of fabric and how you accessorize it, you can wear a pencil skirt to the office, weekend errands, date night, and more! Dana Willard of MADE Everyday recently released this 20 Minute Pencil Skirt Video Tutorial that is perfect for learning how to make a quick and easy knit pencil skirt. Enjoy!

The great thing about Dana's MADE Everyday video series is that each clip is incredibly easy to follow. She takes you every step of the way from measuring your size to sewing your hem! Dana also offers handy tips like her personal preferences of which stitch and stitch length to use when sewing.

In her tutorial, Dana uses a cotton jersey fabric, but you could also use cotton lycra or ponte de roma fabrics, depending on how you want your skirt to look and feel. A few of my picks from the store:

We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next Knit Picks!

Happy sewing!
