Tutorial Tuesday :: Track Pants Sewing Tutorial from Elle Apparel

I am in love with the printed track pants trend that is showing up everywhere! These are great because they are comfortable enough for exercising or lounging, while also being stylish enough to go out in. Throw on a blazer and a pair of heels, and you're set!
Did you know that these pants are also super easy to sew yourself? In looking around for the perfect Tutorial Tuesday feature, I found this Track Pants Sewing Tutorial from Leanne Barlow of Elle Apparel. In her own words, Leanne says- "Holy cow, these things are so comfortable. And you can dress them up with heels so you can look dressy enough, but feel like you are wearing pajamas."
One thing that I love about this tutorial is how easy it is to follow! Leanne provides these very simple visuals that match perfectly with her written instructions. Before you know it, your wardrobe will be full of these pants, in all different prints and colors.
These pants can be made in any type of lightweight fabric with a good drape, from Cotton Jersey Knits to Specialty Woven Fabrics. A few of my picks from the store:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial! We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
