Tutorial Tuesday :: DIY Leggings with a FREE Sewing Pattern by Plan B

I don't know about you, but I can never have enough leggings. If I could get away with wearing them everyday, I probably would. They're so stretchy and comfortable, and now they're easier than ever to sew. Anna Evers of Plan B posted this great DIY Leggings Tutorial that even includes a FREE Sewing Pattern (size Medium). I can't wait to test out this pattern myself!
To make leggings even stretchier, Anna adds an elastic band to the waist. Instead of sewing a tunnel to pull the elastic through, she sews it right onto the fabric so that it won't twist or move around.
These leggings can be made with just about any stretch knit fabric. If you're not sure where to start, Girl Charlee New Arrivals is currently full of new Cotton Jersey and Cotton Spandex Blend Knit Fabrics to try. A few of my picks from the store:
Or if you're looking to sew up jeggings, try some of our Stretch Knit Denim Fabric:
We hope you enjoy this tutorial!  We love to see what you sew up so please send 1-2 images of any project you make with Girl Charlee Fabrics to gcblog@girlcharlee.com and you might see your creation featured in our next KnitPicks!

Happy sewing!
