With temperatures still in the 90's across a lot of the country, and I have two friends about to have their babies, I thought a cute romper tutorial was in order for our Tutorial Tuesday spot. Our lovely customer Sabra Gubler of Sew A Straight Line sent in this sweet Ruched Romper tutorial modeled by her lovely daughter Ivy.
The ruching technique is achieved with elastic and gives it a sweet bubble look and allows for plenty of room for cloth diapering:
The pattern is for 12-18 months and calls for 1/2 yard so if you size up or down adjust your fabric needs accordingly. Pretty much any cotton knit will work for this. Here is a few of my picks from the store:
